Stefanie Sommers

Ms. Sommers is a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel (Real Estate) in the Ares Legal and Compliance Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Ms. Sommers was Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel - Real Estate Transactions at Black Creek Group, where she oversaw and provided strategic guidance on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings and the firm's syndicated 1031 program. Previously, Ms. Sommers was a Shareholder at Otten, Johnson, Robinson, Neff + Ragonetti PC, where she represented clients on a wide array of commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Sommers holds a B.A. from Northwestern University in Political Science and International Studies and a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School.
